Tomorrow is the first day of October and the first day of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
I really wanted to do the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, here in Maryland on October 21, 2012, but I am not sure that is going to be possible with me not having a full-time job.
Since this is a foundation that is very important to me, I have decided to show my support for it throughout the month of October in a couple of different ways, just in case I can’t do the race later this month.
Here is what I am going to do:
1. I am going to wear PINK one way or another every single day of the month. It will either be throughout the day or during my workout for the day! I will take a picture of me wearing my PINK item every day!
2. All of my running miles for the month of October will be dedicated to someone who is currently fighting breast cancer, has had breast cancer, or has lost their life because of breast cancer!
If you have a loved one you would like me to dedicate one of my running miles to or you would like me to run one of my miles for you, please let me know and I would be honored to do so!
It is through awareness and early detection that we WILL find a cure!
Thanks for reading!
