Welcome to A Day In The Life Of A Runner!
First of all, in case you didn’t already figure it out, I am a runner. Have I always been a runner? No! Did I ever think I would be a runner? No way! But, here I am…a runner, and I wouldn’t change it for anything! Running has changed my life in a way I could never have imagined, and it all started 2-1/2 years ago.
Here I am on February 22, 2010 at my heaviest and I was miserable!
I knew I needed to do something about it, but just had a hard time getting started. Until my husband and I stumbled upon a program called Insanity! We both did 2 rounds of Insanity, which jump started our weight loss and healthy lifestyle.
Sometime during the second round of Insanity, we decided we would like to train for a marathon. It was something we both had on our bucket list and we figured now would be as good as a time as any since we could start training as soon as we finished our second round of Insanity.
And that is where my love for running began. We started training for our first marathon on July 12, 2010 and I haven’t stopping running since! I am addicted to running and will be running my 3rd marathon in October!
I never thought I would be a runner, but here I am, 2-1/2 years later…
not only a runner and an athlete, but a healthier and happier me!
While I love to run, I also love to eat and cook! So, you will be able to find some healthy recipes on my blog as well. Us runners need to fuel our bodies as well, especially during intense training, so my love for cooking has grown as well. I love to try and share new recipes!
